Youth Concerts

Sacramento Philharmonic musicians form small chamber ensembles, including trios, quartets, and quintets; which are representative of the instrument families in an orchestra (woodwinds, brass, strings, & percussion). The ensembles available for school visits are listed below and are featured on the following pages. The professional musicians bring their artistry and expertise to students in an entertaining and accessible way. These performances showcase the unique range and contributions of the particular orchestra section invited to the school.  The Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra believes that music instruction and exposure is important to children’s personal and cultural development.  As such, all Philharmonic Education Programs are aligned with California Education Standards and are designed to inspire and educate students of all grade levels.

“The students are absolutely music crazed! They love anything that has to do with music and performance.  Our partnership with the Sacramento Philharmonic makes such a great impact on our students through the programs it provides and the musicians that visit our school. Thanks!” Vanessa Liby, Citrus Heights Elementary Teacher, San Juan Unified School District
