Target Family Concert Series: "Big Music for Great Kids"

 Sponsored by  Target

Concert 1

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Sacramento Community Center, 2pm

Tickets are $10 with kids 12 and under free

The Sacramento Philharmonic has long desired to create affordable, family concerts that are educational while at the same time, offering the full symphonic experience.  Thanks to a grant from Target, these concerts have become a reality!

In Concert 1, the orchestra will perform Leonard Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Hector Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 for Voice and Eight Cellos.  SPO Assistant Conductor Ming Luke will explore the music with the audience, opening young ears to listen, learn, and have a great time in the process.

The 2nd of the Target Family Concerts is on May 17, 2009 at 2pm at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.

Tickets for the Target Family Concerts are available at the Sacramento Community Center Box Office, 1301 L Street, or by calling the Sac Phil Offices at 916-732-9045 ext.103.  Tickets: $10- Kids 12 and under are free.
