Foundation Endower: One who ensures the future of the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra by means of a charitable remainder trust, naming the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation as a beneficiary in your will, creating an endowment, or making a memorial gift in honor of a friend or loved one.

The Sacramento Philharmonic is supported by the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation, which manages funds raised by endowment for the Orchestra.

• In the 1960's, a Foundation, now called the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation, was formed to oversee and manage a million dollar fund that came from a $500,000 Ford Foundation grant and from $5,000 that was raised locally.
• During these years, the Foundation served as the endowment for first the Sacramento Symphony Orchestra and now the Sacramento Philharmonic with more than three-and-a-half million dollars for symphonic music in Sacramento.
• Today, the original million dollars (and more) is still being carefully invested and is still providing much needed operating funds for the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra.
• Currently, the Foundation is developing plans to raise additional funds so that tomorrow, the Philharmonic's endowment will be commensurate with foundations supporting orchestras in other metropolitan areas similar to Sacramento.
