The program notes, annotated by Jane Jaffe, can help you maximize your concert going experience and expand your appreciation for music. Learn about the lives and relationships of the master performers, composers, and conductors presented by the Philharmonic during our 2009-2010 season. About Jane Vial Jaffe
Musicologist Jane Vial Jaffe serves as program annotator for a number of symphony orchestras, festivals, and music presenters and also writes on occasion for individual performing artists and recording companies. She studied at the University of Chicago, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Oberlin College. She periodically teaches music history at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where she lives with her husband, Peter Jaffe, conductor the Stockton Symphony.
