Perfect Pitch - Teaming up for Music Education:
The Sacramento Philharmonic begins it's 12th season as a standard bearer of musical excellence. The Philharmonic draws on its decade of experience to partner with education and bring, on a personal level, the Arts to schools and the community. This long-term relationship continues to serve students in Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, Sutter and El Dorado counties. The Philharmonic is dedicated to cultivating the indelible link between the arts, education, and community development.

1) Maestro in Motion – Music director Michael Morgan and Assistant Conductor Ming Luke
visit regional schools.
2) Musicians on the Move – Soloists, guest artists, and small ensembles visit schools to
connect with students and provide a "standards-based arts education experience".
3) Guest Artist on the Go - Guest artists step off the stage and into the classroom.
4) Mini-residencies – Philharmonic musicians in long-term residencies at schools.
5) Inside & Backstage - Students attend rehearsals and see how it's all put together.
6) String Fever - Small group, beginning string lessons taught by Philharmonic musicians.
7) Education Concerts - Quartets and quintets present favorites such as “Carnival of the
Animals", "Peter & the Wolf" and Vivaldi's "Four Seasons".
