Nader Abbassi started his career as a musician and opera singer in Egypt and Switzerland. He worked under the direction of such renowned conductors as Pierre Boulez, Kent Nagano, John Nelsson, Gyorgy Kurtag, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Pinchas Steinberg, Horst Stein and Armin Jordan. Kenneth Raskin

Conductor

Kenneth Raskin once again joins the Sacrmento Philharmonic to conduct Sheherazade on this season's Target Family Concert. He made his debut with the Philharmonic in May of 2009, conducting Dvorak's Symphony No. 9. During his most recent tenure as Assistant Conductor of the North Carolina Symphony, Kenneth performed dozens of concerts including Classical programs, Young Persons concerts, popular Broadway and Holiday Pops shows, Education concerts, and Summer Season concerts.
